Time Hath, My Lord, A Wallet At His Back
The Solstice has passed and nobody this year did that triple-death-and-bury-in-the-bog thang that chivvies the gods into restarting the warmth and light, so we're fooked good and proper.
We are anyway, gods or no. Imbeciles! Degenerate treasonous poltroons, herds of them! Droves! Must have been something in the fluoridation.
A happy New Year to you all and roll on the civil war.

You Wait Six Months For A Solstice And Then One Comes Along At Once
Sol Invictus
Is
there any person in any position of authority anywhere in this
God-forsaken country of ours who isn't a compound of arrogance,
corruption, incompetence and treason?
Is
there a new Cambridge Five, yet to be unmasked, skulking about the
Establishment, skilfully dissimulating the integrity and loyalty that
lurk in their hearts?

It's That Equinoxey Time of Year
I could get used to posting on the Earth's four corners and I seem to be doing just that.
Why do I have the feeling that the era starting around the Festival of Britain in 1951 and dying with the Onset of Blair in 1997 was the last go round for anything that made life worthwhile?
Almost everybody looks forward to living in a cockroach-infested cesspit rather than aspire to what a civilisation might have to offer.
But there's that goat-footed balloonMan whistling far and wee again and all good things must come to a start.

It's That Solsticey Time Of The Year
The sol standing tice-ish as seen from the New Tavern Fort in Gravesend.
It is good for a while to let ones ambitions of some day condemning around three hundred thousand of the inhabitants of these isles to the executioner's yard, and of deporting a couple million more, lapse for a while and admire a decaying 40mm Bofors.

Ripping Writing
Bond is back!
Bond made it into the Safe Space with instants to spare and wept with relief. The SMERSH triggerman was still outside, shouting "Global Warming is a hoax" and "Brexit happened, get over it" but now Bond wasn't to be triggered.
.....
"Ah, Mr. Bond, I was expecting you," purred Blofeld, looking over Bond's Sustainably Sourced hemp AntiFa romper suit, "though I wasn't expecting you to have wet yourself."
"bUt YOu sAid sEx Is GeNeTiCalLy dEterMinED", Bond snapped back.
These are clearly not excerpts from the new effort by C. Higson. Clearly, because they are much better written.

Heavier Than Air
The official Narrative is that at Versailles, France, on 19th September 1783, the brothers Montgolfier put a sheep, a duck and a rooster into the basket of a hot-air balloon and achieved the first ever flight with passengers, albeit not human passengers.
The obvious giveaway is that roosters and ducks are anyway capable of flight. There would simply have been no point in using a hot air balloon for the that purpose.
In fact the basket contained three piglets, and was catapulted skywards from the twin-pylonned sling shown in the centre of the picture. An engraver caught the moment and rushed his work to a secret Government laboratory where the "balloon" was faked in. The slipshod quality of the work can be seen at the top, where the "balloon" intrudes over the margin of the title.
The crowd was also faked in. In fact this was just another ordinary day at Versailles, and the erection and operation of a basket-of-piglets launcher attracted no particular attention.
The original engraving, before studio alteration, shows how easy it was even before the advent of photography for the Authorities to comprehensively falsify events to suit their own Agenda.

Homily
Give a man a fish, and you will feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and he will burn the boat as firewood, chop up the net for bumswipes, and come to you whingeing that the nights are cold, his arse is sore and can you dob him another fish.

The Very Model of a Modern Intellectual
He has attitude and empathy, he knows about stimulus and impetus, application and implication, dramatic presentation, filmic transposition, flexible formulation, and the other aids to radical renewal, he has experience and perspective, indeed for both reality and vision, he has zest for life and world philosophy, he approves of ethos and pathos but also mythos, he supplies subordination and integration into the living space and working space of the nation, he embraces the emotional realm of community and the vitalism of personality, he professes loyalty to kith and kin and international solidarity and favours synthesis, he transmits stimuli and tentatively explores parameters before arriving at the central modality, in order to fathom latent potential and accentuate the problematics of intellectuality, he knows all about fossilised tradition and burgeoning creativity, he values willpower, recognises purposive achievement, such as the artifice inherent in artistry, he acknowledges fluidity, accessibility, and significant form and can distinguish between the expansive and the convulsive, indeed I suspect that he is oriented in the cosmic; at all events he recognises potential for development and defines emotionally the type that, inescapably, in the final analysis must surely eventuate in trend-setting hegemony and knows that when the build-up of will-power precipitates willed conformity and hence collective action and cultural symbiosis, dynamism and rhythm form prominent parameters, and that then the goal is totality, though in the first instance steely romanticism—in short, you can’t fool him about anything…
Alas, such a paragon of talent and energy is no longer to be found in the contemporary Intellectual sphere, whose denizens are able to perform simple mental functions such as determining that golf, milk and earthquakes are racist but unable to rise above stamping a few simple categories into the human face as if they were boots.
Karl Kraus, in The Third Walpurgisnacht (1933), describes in Josef Goebbels a figure of a stature we can only sigh for today.

Act of War
The mouth of hell, from the Hours of Catherine of Cleves, ~1440.
The mouth of hell, 27th September 2022.
The mouth of hell, 27th September 2022.
Update: a suggestion is that methane hydrate forms as a solid plug in a methane pipeline where gas is present but not flowing (e.g. the Nordstream pipelines). If the pipe is depressurised at (only) one end to clear it
what generally happens is the hydrate plug will still melt at the plug/wall junction, but when it does, the pressurised side will launch the plug (five feet in diameter, and the same density as water ice) at almost 200 miles an hour down the pipe towards the depressurised side. When this plug bullet hits a bend in the pipe — well, it doesn’t stop, nor does it change direction easily. It’s going to make a hole.
Thanks to The LawDog Files for this, which seems more plausible then any warry explanation.

Dirty Work, But Somebody's Got To Do It
A "stay at home social media activist"? So this is who writes th'Twitters.
"Dr" Carol X Lunz 's own bio is a riot'o'larfs in a small room, but the stuck wedding ring is splendid. Many varieties of ape have evolved the capacity to use simple tools, the Lunzes apparently not. All "Dr" Carol can do is fling a GTFOH at anyone who asks if the sister is married because she is wearing a wedding ring.
Is this a parody account? I think it must be but I remain in hope that I'm wrong.

Do Squareheads Have a Sense of Humour?
September 2018 at the United Nations General Assembly. The Krauts are certainly enjoying a whisk of the Tickling Stick
June 2022 and Boche Economy Minister Habeck is pantomiming like there's no tomorrow. Of the bad economic consequences of current shortages. or of Russia turning off the tap altogether, he says
This is "the best breeding ground for populism, which is intended to undermine our liberal democracy from within," Habeck said, adding that Putin's plans must not be allowed to work out.
Any apparent anger or discontent on the part of the German people must be the effect of "populism" (booo!) propagated by the Putin (he's behind you!) and could not possibly be actual discontent or anger (oh no it isn't!) on the part of the German people at the comedians who govern them.
And of course the villain's (booo!) plans will be thwarted, it's just a matter of waiting for the Fairy Godmother to appear at the End.

A Well-Deserved Rest
Manifesting lunacy at a frenzied maximum for any length of time is a draining enterprise. That the Powers That Be have kept it going and steady for two years and more is testimony to an unparalleled Robustitude, Prevailance and lack of Sagacity: but all things have their term and faltering point.

Inside A Modern Government
A few lines from a Daily Sceptic article on the West's response to Ukraine...
While this strategy may work, I’ve yet to read a cogent defence of it.In fact, the strategy could have a number of negative second-order effects – i.e., unintended consequences – that haven’t been properly thought through. As several people have observed, the West’s response seems to have been slapped together on the fly amidst a storm of social media outrage, as opposed to being carefully devised after consideration of all possible eventualities.
...a more concise primer on the Art and Practice of Modern Government would be hard to find.
The quality and competence of the Modern Governor may be gauged from such as
whose interest was clearly not piqued by any notion of assessing Russian strengths, weaknesses, intentions and so forth in the run-up to the war, which had started the previous day.
The declaration that Alphabetti Sphagetti Rights are the crux of Western civilisation, as well as He/him's inability to get the letters right, is eerily reminiscent of the US embassy in Kabul's flying the rainbow flag a few days before the catastrophe in Afghanistan.
For myself, I have grown bone-weary of the Stupid and of their interminable vigour. I am old enough to remember when it was considered a shameful condition - what a fogey!

Momentum
For mine own good,
All causes shall give way: I am in blood
Stepp'd in so far that, should I wade no more,
Returning were as tedious as go o'er
Macbeth III.4
There comes a point in any putsch where the number of people who cannot afford to see the Rule of Law ever restored begins to snowball, and it becomes a Movement.
Starting from Truddafi, whose unlawful implementation of the Emergencies Act amounts increasingly to treason, there are added the senior officers of the Ottawa police, the RCMP, the banks and financial institutions, and now the rank and file, committing criminal acts in increasing numbers. Criminal either directly or because the Emergency is patently not legitimate.
What is the Cause they embroil themselves in, for what Yawning Heights do they strike out? Nobody knows, not even the Amghar has any real clue: the banners, when and if the delivery man comes, will have sauve qui peut emblazoned on them.

Why Censorship is Necessary and Good
The Ministry of Defence yesterday published this chilling map which is totally chilling and warry, and utterly convincing.
Sinister internet trolls working for Vladimir Putin immediately faked up this fake map to spread distress and mental health.
The box about the arrows, top right, explains that they are Ground Movements, and only the tiny writing underneath gives the game away - "Warning: Ground movement indicators are for illustrative purposes only". But for this, the reader might have thought that the arrows represented some actual war plan or something, and weren't just the work of a bunch of retarded clowns.
This is why Mis- Dis- and Something Else That Begins With M- Information (MDM*) must be erased from the interwebs, and only entirely trustworthy Government and Corporate Sources allowed to post stuff online.
*MDM: a satisfyingly euphonious acronym which improves with repetition; encourages faux-scholarly quibbling about the referents of the different D- or M- gibberish definitions; sounds like a Class A drug or a venereal disease. Works a treat.

Easy Peasy Tyrannesey
All you have to do is say "time for a dictatorship" and... laws, constitutions, charters... all such inconveniences are gone like the dew of a Spring morning.
The repeated assertions that the convoys are seas of Swastika and Dixie flags; the racism😨 hatred😰 white supremacy😭 misogyny😲 the transphobia! Swelled and perhaps instigated by Russians (who will certainly have snow on their boots)!
Such piffle could only work with the Stupid (Lat: stupor): those who are unable to apprehend the world around them, either because they are flatly unwilling or because they are convinced of their own superior cunning; stupidity is always a voluntary state.
Whether the Stupid make a sufficient power base for Truddafi in Canada remains to be seen. In other times and places, for other homunculi, they often enough have done.

Warry
I want to thank NHS staff up and down the country for how they tirelessly worked on cancer throughout the pandemic. But sadly we've seen I think around 50,000 fewer people diagnosed with cancer because of the pandemic, and we do need to go a lot further, a lot faster. We need a new national war on cancer. That's why today on World Cancer Day. I'm launching a new call for evidence that will be part of a new 10-year plan on cancer about how we can do even better at prevention, how we can do much better in early diagnosis, and how we can make the very best use of cutting edge treatment.
So says Sajid Javid in February 2022. Entirely unrelated, of course, to what Dr Karol Sikora said about the lockdown in May 2020,
If this continues for six months, I suspect that in the years to come there will be at least 50,000 excess cancer deaths
"excess cancer deaths" being not the same as "fewer people diagnosed", "because of the lockdown" not the same as "because of the pandemic". These excess deaths being caused exactly by the NHS not tirelessly working on cancer.
A good robust Call For Evidence will certainly undo all this damage though, so no harm done, eh.
However awful the consequences of inept policy, the Establishment will simply shift the Talking Point away from the Actual Point and carry on as if nothing untoward has happened, as will indeed be the case once the new National War gets under way.
In the Soviet Union on Sea, the manifestation of failure is a failure of the policied-on, not of the policy, a transient untidiness in the raw material.
