Bombay Duck

This is probably the first scratch'n'sniff©® post ever posted in the blogiverse.

Go ahead. Don't mind me.

So it was your blog. I thought the dog had farted!

That hardly looks like duck. How did they end up like that?

Good idea. Maybe in next version of HTML there should be a smell tag.

Sorry to say but I did a "Scratch 'n' Sniff" post over two years ago. And it was even more frivolous than yours (though possibly less malodorous). See here: http://self-preservationsociety.blogspot.com/2006/02/scratch-n-sniff.html

Did it have a monkey in it?

I meant ape of course

X: No, the monkey (in this case it was really a monkey) post was another occasion. Here: http://self-preservationsociety.blogspot.com/2005/03/complete-works-of-shakespeare.html

IT DON'T WORK!!!

YES IT DOES WORK!!!!

What you choose to scratch'n'sniff is your own business, this blogternet is a free and interactive medium.

If you want to smell a hazelnut latte scented pencil (?) or a monkey (??), well that is your own affair. Both moves are in my opinion questionable, but I will submit to the Court of History and the International Chess Federation.

Stargazer, how dried fish end up being called "Bombay Duck" is beyond my ken. That is how these fishies were sold in Indian restaurants in London 30 years ago. I have not seen them on any menu anywhere for a two decades or more. Strange.

Yes, I never understood how dessicated fish transmutate into ducks either....

BTW on a point of pedantic nitpickery I should point out that monkeys have tails and apes (chimps etc) don't...
