Friday Again

Lessons learned:

Your next cigarette is the only pal you'll ever have.

Compliance are timewasting ----s who look like Herge scribbled them, scrunched them up and threw them in the wastepaperbasket.

The people in Room 4 are always from Poland.

I will build an entire System on these simple axioms tomorrow. Or the day after. Bit of scheduling, there.

Now that you've found the toilet and coffee machine, next week's task is to find the stationery cupboard.

That's a nice suit there. I daresay Tim Gunn would aprove.

I'm trying to work out where Mike Stiggs' desk is. Third floor? Seventh? Annex? By the photocopier?

Working in an office is a bit like exploring a coral reef, only much more exciting.

I daresay he would. Me, I am trying to figure out when I can get away with ditching my Austin Reed navy serge double-breasted, and dress down to the Marks & Sparks black office trousers and not-matching blazer.

One has to make a good impression at the start, but I'm not going to wear out a $900 suit in implementing a New Pension Product.

A job! Oh my! That means you know when it is Monday and when it is Friday. No longer do the days all become one.

I get two days now: in a suit, pretending. In unsmart casual, lounging. You're right, a bit of variety is a good thing.
