David McMahon of
Authorblog's question for this week -
what makes you happy?
Anything that gets me out of my head (no, I don't mean drink or drugs, oblivion is a terrible habit).
Intent on someone or something else... but then, if I am not conscious of myself, how do I know I am happy?
I
do know I'm no philosopher. Which also makes me happy. And no poet, which makes me sad...

I too am an avid fan of David, am doing this tomorrow. Great to come across a neighbour here in UK...we are just outside Whitby!
I might have a go at that one too. If I knew the answer. I don't reckon anyone knows the answer to that one. All happiness is temporary. It is suffering that lasts. Yeah my answer would be real downbeat.
David Fan? - er, he better not try that happy chappy stuff on me.
Hi, mrsnesbitt, also by the seaside at Brighton, and know Whitby quite well. And will look out for what you write.
I like to think of Suffering as just the backing group in the
no, you're right.
Happiness and the Sufferings.
It might work.
G'day Chertmeister,
I am a big fan of William Butler Yeats - so it was great to see that quote.
Great to see you and Mrs Nesbitt making contact. Denise is a wonderful blogger with a huge energy level and a zest for life. I am a big fan of hers too!
Lovely post, and I am in awe of the way you;ve illustrated it.
Thank you, once again, for taking part.
Keep smiling
David
PS Ohara - I loved your response! I'd still love to see you post on the subject. It is one that certainly requires many points of view - and I'd love to read yours.
Awwwwwwwwwww David what a sweetie.
Just posted mine!
